For HDTV Television applications has Component Inputs (YPrPb) with 3 RCA Plugs, use this cable and connect the VGA plug to your Video or HDTV Tuner Card. Applications include: satellite TV, HDTV, component video (Y/Pb/Pr type - not RGB VGA type) and most LCD projectors.

Please note that this cable will not convert the video signal from one type to another. Both devices must support the same signal. Do not assume that this cable will work just because you have a VGA port.

These cables are often referred to as "Vesa" cables. It will work with all progressive scan and HDTV signals including 480i, 480p, 1080i, 720p, and all other video signals with no signal loss.

The Device to which the "VGA" connector is connected, needs to support Component video(which is actually "sync on Y", Y-Pr-Pb)or "sync-on-green" for this type of cable to work. These cables are not compatible with computer monitor ports or Y/Cr/Cb video. Check your Plasma, Projector or HDTV manual, otherwise your picture won't sync! In this case you need a "transcoder".
