This IEEE 1394 FireWire 400 has 4-pin connectors on both sides. The 4-pin connectors are suitable for devices that are not powered from the bus and intended primarily for battery-powered devices. It is smaller than the standard IEEE 1394 FireWire connector and has only the data signaling pairs. The 4-pin connector are used for Audio/Video devices such as digital camcorders and digital VCRs (including Sony i.Link).
IEEE1394 is also Lynx (Texas Instruments), and iLink (Sony).
